Joanne's convocation day

It was about 2 week sago when UTAR had its convocation for the May intake students. And this time, one of my jimuis, Joanne is having her convo too, at Wisma MCA.

The night before Joanne's convo, my parents suddenly said that we had to go out early in the morning to have our passports done. Bear in mind that I was suppose to be at Joanne's convo at 11am. So the whole passport process was very very time consuming. I almost didn't make it there on time. But luckily, I did.

Only Moon and I were able to make it to Joanne's convo, the rest of the jimuis either had seminars, work, or they weren't in town. Awwww... =(

How did I lose 14kg (diet plan)

From the announcement of my weight loss in the previous post, many left comment wanting to know about my diet, so I'm gonna share it here. Bear in mind that you really need strong determination in order for the diet to be effective as it's quite extreme. Your new motto would have to be "Slim first, happiness later".

In order for your diet to work, you are only allowed to eat each meal every 5-6 hours, and you must eat on time daily. You must eat at least 5-6 hours before you sleep. For me, almost everyday I wake up at 11am, so I eat my brunch at 12noon, dinner at 5.30pm. Then after that, I don't eat at all. If I get really hungry, I take only fruits or lots of warm water. If I just so happen to eat late (eg. 9pm), I stay awake until 5 hours later before I sleep.

As I mentioned, my diet consist of very low calories, only 200cal per meal. This is mainly coz I'm always home and I don't need much strength. But if you're an active person, you could increase your calories intake.

What you're not allowed to take:
  • Any food with oil
  • Bread
  • Rice
  • Potatoes
  • Anything with salad sauce (mayo, thousand island etc)
  • Chocolates
  • Flour
  • Sweets
  • Dairy products
  • Beef
  • Lamb
  • Fatty pork
  • Fruits with high fat/sugar (durians, red apples, oranges, watermelon etc)
  • Fast food
  • Cold drinks
  • Sweet drinks
  • Fruit juices
  • Cookies
  • Cakes
  • Basically anything nice to eat

What you're allowed to take:
  • Oat (w/o sugar/salt)
  • Low fat cereal (Kellogg's recommended)
  • Nestum (3in1 original)
  • Eggs (Only 1 egg yolk each intake, can have as many egg whites)
  • Noodle (occasionally, plain soup only)
  • Veggie (steames, boiled baked)
  • Chicken breasts meat (steamed, boiled, baked)
  • Oat biscuits
  • Low fat soda crackers
  • Fruits (low in fat/sugar)
  • Green tea
  • Warm water only

If you can't live without rice, try switching to brown rice and cut the portion into half, and then a quarter. White rice are processed starch and it's harder to digest. Same goes to wholemeal bread and normal white bread. Egg yolk contains bout 58 calories while egg white only 17 calories. So You can have bout 3-4 egg whites if you're still hungry, but only 1 egg yolk allowed per meal. Oat bicuits keeps you full compared to 7 soda crackers even though you're most likely to only have 2 pieces of it. Potatoes are pure carbohydrates and you don't need them.

At the beginning of my diet, I totally cut down all bread and rice and fried stuff. It was hard, but it was a must. At first each of my meals would consist of:
  • either 1/3 of a noodle portion
  • or 7 pieces of soda crackers
  • or 2 eggs (hard or half boiled)
  • or plain cereal (45g) w/o milk
  • or 200g chicken breasts meat (steamed, boiled, baked)
  • or alot of veggie (boiled)
  • and 2-3 green apples through out the day to stop my cravings.

Then slowly my diet became more extreme when each of my meal would consist of:
  • either Nestum (3in1 original) with a lil Kellogg's 2% less fat cereal.
  • or 2 egg whites, but only 1 egg yolk
  • or 100g chicken breasts meat (steamed, boiled, baked)
  • or veggie (boiled)
  • or 10 Sunsweet prunes
  • and a few slices of fruits.

Throughout the entire diet, I only consumed warm water or green tea. Green tea helps increase your metabolism and helps burn tummy fat. You can try taking a glass of green tea half an hour before your meal, but if that gives you gastric, try having it half an hour after your meal. Cold water clogs up the fat in your food and makes it harder for your stomach to digest, so only warm water allowed. Needless to say, no sweet drinks are allowed at any occasion at all. And of coz, no alcohol, it's bad for your health when you're on a diet. Your body lacks nutrients and food so it'll absorb any crap that you put in.

If you're not sure about the calories in some food or whether you should be taking them during your diet, you can always Google the food info or email/leave a comment and I'll help you.

As I've mention, the diet requires really strong determination. During my diet, I've had friends and family eating glorious gourmet right in front of me and I've not once gave in to temptation. Heck, I never even had a slice of cake for my 22nd birthday, none!!!

There'll always be friends and family that will say "Oh come on, eat lil bit. Just once, won't harm your diet plan, you can continue dieting tomorrow". Wrong! Never never never ever give in to such words. Stay strong in what you want to achieve. Dieting is a long duration process, not a one time meal thingy. You don't lose weight by just eating right in one meal. You have to do it over a long period of time. Like I've mentioned, your body lacks nutrients and food so it'll absorb any crap that you put in, so eating even a lil bit of fries will definitely put the fat back into your body, and you'll need days to get it off again.

I also did some exercise for the first month of my diet. I did my 1 hour routine on my elliptical exercise machine daily. Then in my second month, I did some lighter exercise by lifting my arms up and down really slowly repetitively. Then I also did the tip toe routine which caused me several cramps. FML. Then eventually I got lazy and stopped all exercises all together. WTF!!! Hahahah!

Of coz it's a suffer to go on a diet, else there wouldn't be slimming programs which cost you at least 20k to really be effective. Working out is the best way to lose weight, but as girls, we don't wanna look muscular or buffed, so we'd still have to go on a diet to look femininely slim.

Remember, being beautiful on the inside also includes being beautiful on the outside. Be determine on your diet. Good luck!!! =)

I lost 14kg in 3 months!

Correct that sentence! I lost 14kg in LESS THAN 3 months!!!

I started my diet in June 2010, and I've already lost 14kg now in late August.

I used to be very overweight when I was 13 for some of you who didn't know. To read more on my past transformation, click here.

Anyway, I was 76kg back then when I was 13. I have to mention my height so you'll know how big size I was. I am 168cm, easily pass for a 170cm.

When I was 13, my mom helped me went on a diet whereby I ate everything in less portion. I managed to loose 22kg in 9 months time.

My weight was 54kg after the diet, and when I started eating normal again, my weight went up to 58kg and maintain ever since then for several years.

That was until last year, when I got really upset and started eating super nice stuff with friends. It's like having a gourmet meal for every meal every day.

So eventually, my weight went up from 58kg to a shocking 64kg over the year.

My face never look fat even though my weight gained. Friends of friends would say I look pretty and then my friends would say "Have you seen her???". Basically they were laughing at my body, which was a very hurtful experience btw.

I've always wanted to go on a diet but I'm the queen of procrastination, and gave myself the infamous excuse every girl gives themselves, "I'll start my diet tomorrow".

So when June was approaching, I realized I'm not getting any younger (My birthday is in June FYI). So I had to start my diet, it's a now or never thing already. People don't get to loose/gain much weight as their age increases.

So I started myself on a low calorie diet, with only about 200calories per meal, and 6 hours in between each meal, and before bed time. Only warm water or green tea for the entire diet duration.

It was super hard for the first month, the craving was a killer. If you're on my FB, you'd know about my craving for cheeseburgers!!! FML.

Things got much easier entering the second month. No more cravings and definitely no hunger at all.

The 3rd month was a breeze. You'd practically be repulsed by fatty food. It's like being normal except that you can't wait to end the diet.

For the first month of my diet, I lost 6kg. In the second month, I lost another 5kg. In the third month (more like half a month), I lost 2kg.

I didn't manage to lose much weight in the third month most probably coz I didn't have much excess weight to lose anymore.

So before June, I was 168cm and 64kg. Now by end of August, I'm 168cm and 50kg. =)

You can't really see the difference here coz I used to photoshop my photos. Now I don't even photoshop them anymore, I'd just adjust the levels and colors!!! To really see the difference, you've gotta meet me in real life. =)

Inches lost:
Arm: 3 inches
Waist: 5 inches
Hip: 5inches
Tigh: 4 inches
Calf: 1.5 inches (dammit, can't lose this part)

3 months ago I used to wear a M size for tops, and now I wear S size.

3 months ago I used to wear L for bottoms, and sometimes even XL jeans don't fit me. Now I wear a M size jeans, and could fit into an S size bottom anytime.

My clothes are now all too big on me. The tops, skirts, jeans, and most of the dresses don't look fit on me anymore. I desperately need to do some shopping.

My flesh is very soft and flabby so I desperately need to go to gym to get myself toned up. But that'll have to wait til after next month coz I'll be having my finals for the very last time soon!!!

Above are all the food we ordered. Only get to eat half a bowl of the ramen and one dumpling coz of my diet. But it's already more than enough to make my weight be stagnant for 3 whole days. OMFG. It's so easy to maintain your body weight, even easier to gain weight, but so damn effing hard to lose weight man. =.=

Went to Luna Bar for the first time 2 weeks ago. It was a celebration of SherLi and Doris's convo.

Anyway, we've got awesome seatings coz there were like maybe more than 15 of us? Don't really remember. The view was nice, and it wasn't that hot coz it had just rained in the afternoon.

Shit talking about relationships

Sorry for the lack of updates but I've been emo-ing bout my FYP lately.

Anyway, saw a status update from a friend in Facebook about relationship problems, and then coincidentally, saw a comment left by a person, giving advice on relationships.

In the comment stated that a relationship needs trust, understanding, and forgiveness, especially in a long distance relationship.

I'm not saying that what the person wrote was wrong, in fact, it was right. However, the only problem that I have with the comment, is with the person leaving the comment.

You'll understand more as you read through this post.

The person then went on leaving comment describing Its own relationship. (Notice how I used "it" in replace of "he/she", to keep the person's gender a blur.)

It is having a long relationship too and was practically being proud of the things It went through with Its partner, and how well they practiced trust, understanding and forgiveness.

I know you're still wondering what the hell this post is about. Keep reading.

The reason I'm having so much problem with the comment by this person is that, this person has absolutely no rights in giving relationship advices.

Why? As highly as It described Its own relationship and how well they practiced trust, understanding and forgiveness, this person did the most unspeakable thing a person could do when in a relationship, and involving another person who's also in a relationship at the same time.

If you still don't get what the unspeakable action I was talking about, read the above paragraph repeatedly until you get it.

In my dictionary, if you've done something so unspeakable, you don't act like a saint going around giving "advices" which obviously, you yourself violated.

So then I left a comment, calling It a piece of shit with Its shit advices. I wasn't direct at all, and practically hid behind a large bush when I commented. Even the owner of the wall didn't get that the comment was meant for It.

But...!!! Apparently the partner of that person got "terasa", which means, the partner felt that I was talking about them. Haha!

I guess when you've got something to hide, everything that anyone says, feels like it's meant for you. XD

Although the comment from that person's partner replied to me was kinda rude, I didn't react much. I merely denied that I was talking about them.

If the partner had continued being persistent and rude to me, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to disclose the unspeakable thing which It had done.

Come to think of it, I really do think they practiced trust, understanding and forgiveness very well. Wanna know why?

It trust that the partner will not cheat coz apparently, the partner ain't a very good catch in the first place. The partner understands that It likes to fool around and is way out of the partner's league. Thus even if It did anything wrong, It would still be forgiven by the partner.

I really can't believe It actually thought It had the rights to give anyone relationship advices. It was hilarious, and quite many agreed with me on this.

Just like a chicken teaching you how to be human. WTF!

So it was last Friday night that we headed out to Fukuya along Jalan Delima for dinner to celebrate Michelle's 22nd Birthday as well as to farewell her coz she's leaving Malaysia soon for her studies.

Anyway the cake looked so delicious and everyone said that it tasted yummy, but I couldn't eat at all!!! T________T Torture!

So after the dinner the rest of them were heading down to the Library at Mid Valley to join some of Michelle's other besties. Moon and I didn't wanna go coz I couldn't drink and she had assignments to rush. But as we were in the car at the parking lot, Ivan and TzyLin entered the car and wouldn't get off, forcing Moon to drive us to the Library. =.="
