People take things in life for granted

Sometimes I think that we take too many things in life for granted.

It takes a person to undergo a great ordeal before they can really accept and appreciate the things they've taken granted for all these while.

Be it family, friends, career, studies, relationships, even the water your use to brush your teeth every morning, things in life should never be taken granted for.

You see, we never realized how lucky we are, all we could see were our imperfections, and the flaws in others. Until something happens, and then you realized, life isn't just about those petty stuff you've focused on so far, it's so much more than that. Unfortunately, not everyone have the luck to finally get that realization.

Life have been easy for some, and those people are the ones that often take life for granted.

How often in life do you make your decisions based on others expectations towards you? How often do you use the word "I" in a day? How often do you despise someone just because they irk you for being the way they ar?

Why focus on all these details when there are so much more that life offers yet nobody bothered to pay attention to?

I know this is like so emo and all kinda post, but it's not. Something personal happened in the family line awhile ago but everything's fine now.

All the grudges and judgments you have towards another, they're really not worth your time at all. Appreciate what you have right now at this very moment, stop wishing that you were something or someone else, stop envying others, and don't be jealous of anything. Because you are simply you, and that's way more than enough.

Agree, we should live life fully and cherish on who we are now.

I like your post, we have the same thought. =)

If there's a "Like" button similar to Facebook's in Blogger here, I'll click on it.

Strongly agreed with the post. It takes something powerful to change somebody's mind and make them reflect into their blessings they get. Complaining just brings you to nowhere, you'll learn nothing from it.

Take this as your new year's inspiration, since you posted this out during the first days of 2010. Cheers :)

I guess there wont be any way to change the fact that some people really needs to experience life before getting to know the meaning of life.
sometimes people will be selfish, sometimes people will be kind,
but that's just the way it is.
life's tough.
however i do hope that people around us will learn to think for the better.
our world needs to be a better place.
