Hahahah... Finally the longest and most detailed food review post is up! And today I'm gonna review + highly recommend you guys to Kushi Q!!!
Thanks to
Wilson for the invite, a few of us headed to Kushi Q located at Tropicana City Mall for a nice dinner together. Truth to be told,
Wilson just kept telling me there's a food review and did not let me in on what sort of food was I suppose to expect. =.=
Kushi Q
Kushi Q is halal and its specialty is that it uses an auto-rotating grilling machines that systematically and consistently cook food to a golden brown on the outside while retaining succulence inside. (Hah, I copied this sentence from their website coz I have no idea how to describe a machine. I can calculate how it works in engineering but not describe it in human language.)
Their set meal menu. Cheap and definitely worth eating! I'll let you guys in on the food a bit more later on.
Ngek Ngek, the photographers were testing shots and I had to be in it wutt... XD
The interior of Kushi Q is rather small but very cozy. If you're going in a big bunch, like us, Kushi Q is more than willing to set tables up for you right in front of their shop, there were 8 of us that night btw.
Sneak peak of the food you should be expecting. =p Yummy~
Nah, this is the automated grilling machine I was talking about lor... Sigh, I also dunno how to explain more to you, but does it really matter how the food is cooked as long as it taste great??? XD
Anyway from this part onwards, I'll be bribing you with mouth watering photos of food we were served. Slowly drool la huh... Believe me, I was drooling and got kinda upset (as in Lao Gai / merajuk) coz it took ages for the photographers to be done taking photos of the food!!!
Their new product - Fried Dory Fish
I dunno the price of this dish as it was still new and not stated in the menu, but it tasted great! The dory fish was soft and really succulent, and you could actually taste the sweetness of the fish coz it was so damn fresh. Why can't any other place serve dory fish as nice as Kushi Q does?!!
Fried Fish RM2.50/stick
Cold Noodle Zaru Soba - RM3.00
Ohhhh... I like this noodle. But one thing that got me really puzzle was, it's suppose to be cold noodle but the bowl felt warm. Really weird... o.O But it tasted really smooth, and unlike maggie mee which is often soggy, when the noodle is in your mouth, it bounces around mixing with the soup of the noodle... (talking bout it now makes me drool).
Beef Pineapple - RM2.50/stick
Haha. At first when I first saw this dish I was thinking to myself "Walao, so huge lump of fat, who gonna eat wor..." But then only I realized, it was fresh pineapple grilled to golden perfection, and the beef absorbed the sweet pineapple juice. Oh my gawd, yummy... It's really too bad if you're not a beef eater. =p
Chicken Thigh with Capsicum - RM2.00/stick
Prawn - RM2.50/stick
At first I thought this was squid on stick, coz it was placed far across the table from me, and I don't like squids. But then I got to know that it was prawn, and of coz I took one la. Adui... Prawn is my favorite although I sometimes get allergy on my skin after eating them. But all the allergy in the world is worth this piece of succulent prawn, omg the freshness!!!
Chicken Wing - RM2.00/stick
Oi, looking at this picture make me dulan lor. I didn't get to taste this at all... T____T Siapa makan my share????!!!
Edamame - RM4.00
Chicken Thigh with Leak - RM2.00/stick
Crispy Chicken - RM2.00/stick
Japanese Fish Cakes - RM1.80/stick
This is really nice. I'm not a fan of fish cake. In fact, I hate fish cakes, they always taste weird to me. I only tried this dish coz I thought it was taufu. Seems like I keep mistaking food for another. =.= Anyway, The Japanese fish cake served in Kushi Q is so different from the ordinary cheap ones. It's tender yet still bouncy, like tofu but like fishball. LOL. I dunno what am I talking about. Oh and you don't need any sauce to go with it coz it's darn tasty!
Unagi - RM5.00/stick
This is one bloody hell delicious unagi I tell you. We kept asking for more unagi from the the host of the night, Mr. Eden. LOL. Check out the size of the unagi for one stick (I know you can't really see the width, but trust me, it's huge). Compared the price and size of the unagi to those served in those Japanese outlet like sushi king, sakae sushi, or even ichiban boshi, all also can die far far, lose to Kushi Q by dunno how many streets liao la.
Rice - RM2.00
Walao, this I tell you, is the favorite of everyone present that night! It's actually rice with half boiled egg on the top with some soy sauce or some sweet sauce, something like that la. It was soooooo yummy everyone couldn't have enough of it lor... Then if you have the above unagi together with the rice, OMG!!! One word, HEAVEN. I can eat like this for every day for the rest of the month if Kushi Q is willing to sponsor me. =p
Baby Octopus - RM3.00/stick
I don't really love baby octopus but I'm not against it either. It's really crunchy and tasty, so I guess there's no harm done by recommending it to you guys out there who loves biting babies. XD
Salad - RM2.00
Mackerel Fish - RM2.50/stick
Yummy leh??? =p
Enough of food photos, I know you guys gonna bash me in the comment section for making you hungry edi. LOL. Human photos time!!! Let me introduce you to the 2 spokesperson for Kushi Q ok?
Jun and Cornelius, spokesperson for Kushi Q, we get free baby octopus for a lifetime. WTF!
Seriously this should be a poster hanging in Kushi Q.
This one also must hang in Kushi Q. LOL.
Telah diphotoshopkan. =p
Me and Moon, haven't seen her for ages then I found out her secret from
Wilson, sedih like shit.
Another funny picture to share. Haha.
Oh, Moon looks really not pretty in the photo so I just pixelated her. LOL. Focus on me in the photo. Look at my expression. Wanna know why I'm making that face? I tell you why.
Wilson and
Joshua kept gossiping like girls and when I ask them to include me, they keep ignoring my existence!!! Like that called kawan.
Haha, last but not least, of coz a camwhored photo of myself la, where can don't include camwhore photo in my post one right?
Prawn on stick, aka big head prawn. XD
Group photo,
Wilson even watermark it
(promote gau gau), sien.
Thanks to the very friendly Mr. Eden for the wonderful meal, but can give me discounts next time when I visit again ar? XDXD

*p/s: I hate food reviews coz it always make me hungry. Looking at the food is ok, writing bout the food is a torture. I have to recall back the taste and feeling I had as I ate those food. Seriously very torturing ar... Anyone wanna bring me to Kushi Q tonight? T___T
