
Feeling ugly? Do you get upset or down whenever you look into the mirror, wishing that if only you could change a lil bit of you here and there, then you'll look nicer? Don't fret, beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder, and truthfully speaking, it is even more important that you do not see yourself as being ugly, or else others would think so too.
Here's some tips for you if you're lacking that confidence.
Smile all the time. It actually helps you from getting depressed by being too obsessed with your "ugliness". Everyone look the greatest when they smile, even when they have not so perfect teeth. When you smile, your eyes smiles too. They'll automatically sparkle and make you look more attractive. Being happy is a beauty by itself.
Practice an open minded attitude. You are only as ugly as you think you are. Having low self confidence coz you think you are "ugly" makes you have that "why bother" attitude. Which is really bad. If you wake up everyday thinking, "Why should I even bother? I'm ugly.", you've already given up and lost the battle. Being afraid that people will call you ugly isn't an excuse for not trying to look better. Keep up the positive attitude and you will glow from within.
Be polite to yourself. Do you walk up to a stranger and say "Hi, wow... You look really ugly."? No you don't. So stop bashing yourself every time you look into the mirror. Treat your reflection as a real person, offer help at places you deemed not perfect or in your language, "ugly". If you don't like what you see, change it.
After accomplishing these few mentally changes, it's time for some physicals one. Learn to groom yourself better. Read magazines, watch tv, visit the beauty parlor or even get advice from friends who really care. Maintain your cleanliness and make sure you look presentable no matter where you go, even if you're home alone. Don't let your hair look messy or out of place even when you're all alone. It's the battle between you and yourself, so don't give yourself any chance to feel "ugly".
Next step is to just maintain the above tips and take your time to let everything sink in. Confidence doesn't take 1 night to be built especially when you have been downgrading yourself for years. So maintain the above tips and just let yourself get used to it.
After you feel a lil better bout yourself, it's time for a makeover. Change your hair, your dressing style and have make up on whenever necessary. This makeover need not be something huge or expensive, a small makeover will do wonders as it'll boast your confidence even higher. Having something new makes you feel refreshed and brand new. If you feel better, then you'll look better.
Last step of all, be open to friendship. Meet new people and make new friends. Be confident that you are not ugly. Even if you are naturally born with defects, you are not ugly. You are beautiful because you are you. And if anyone says anything otherwise, SCREW THEM!
