I got my 1st Nuffnang cheque few days ago, didn't post bout it coz I wasn't feeling myself lately. I cashed out early January 2009, received it early March 2009. (I blanko out the figures coz they're too teeny)
Anyway, that's not the main purpose of this post.
March is a very meaningful month for my family as it's my parent's birthday. Yes, they share the same birth month and their lunar birth date falls on the same day too. So sweet hor?
So as I was saying, it's the month of my parent's birthday. Nobody in my family reads my blog. They know I blog, they've asked if they could read it, and I said "what for?", and they respected it. They tend to jokingly ask for permission to read my blog every now and then, but I'll just brush it off.
My sister doesn't have any internet connection so she definitely doesn't read my blog. I bet she couldn't even be bothered to read it even if she has internet connection. She's just way too into football matches, basketball, and anime. There's just no room for her big sis.
Yes, my family are tight like that. The only time we spend our time together is when my mom make a whole big fuss about us (sis and me) not spending enough time with her. *Dad never complains*. Then we'll all sit in the living room and watch tv, then mom will start to complain that we never let her watch her shows. =.=" (She watches discovery channel most of the time, and no, neither my sis nor me myself like it). It's not like we don't wanna spend time with them... But my parents are barely around, they leave for work at 7am, reaches home at 9-10pm and both sis and I have stuff to do at that time? Mind you, they get off from work at 5-6pm like everyone else does, but they always stay back to work more.
Dad is a peculiar man. He likes to cut fruits, like seriously. He'll cut a whole lot of them, at least 3 different type of fruits, and keeps it in the fridge. He'd cut it early in the morning before he goes to work, after he comes back from work, before he sleeps etc etc. Then he'll force us to eat them. If we don't eat them, he'll start yelling: "Why I cut fruits in the fridge you all never eat???". LOL...
Anyway, I've still yet to reach the purpose of this goal. Yes, I'm a long winded old hag. =.= It runs in the family, especially the Hainanese heritage. LOL.
So what I wanted to say was, I never really told my parents I love them. I don't even remember when was the last time I said those words to them. Perhaps when I was just a child, I might have said it to them before. My mom still likes to force her kisses upon me and my sis. Ya, she'll go making bets with us like: "Hey if I can catch that wild cat on the road, you guys each give me a kiss on my cheek k?". And my sis and I would always go =_="
I love my parents alot. It's just the was we were brought up I guess. Most Chinese family seldom show their love in public, especially family love. Unlike westerns who always say "Love you mum/dad" at the end of their conversation or before they leave home for school. It's just the way it is, especially in my family. I wouldn't be caught dead saying I love you face to face to them, and somehow I don't think they wanna hear it from me too. They'd rather if I expressed them through action. If I told my sis I love her, I'd bet a million bucks with you she'll throw a fist at my face. =.=
Anyway, I love you, mom and dad... Always will, and thanks for everything and all the support you gave me in my life... *ok I'll stop being gross now*
